Super Bowl Chili
2 pounds ground beef (8% or less fat)
1 small onion chopped
3 celery ribs chopped
1 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes undrained
2 cans (10 ¾ oz’s) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
1 can dark red kidney beans
1 can light red kidney beans
2 cans cannellini beans
1 cup water
¼ cup chili powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
2 teaspoons pepper
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon each dried thyme, oregano
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper for a bit of a kick (optional)
In a large soup kettle, cook the beef, onions and celery over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 20 min – 1 hour.
